Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note 11, 12, 13 and 14 Series Devices now but no models have enough power like before. These devices feel like a downgrade in multiple ways.
Outdated Software and Poor Updates
Every Year, Xiaomi launches the Redmi Note Series devices, and the major problem with the devices is it comes with old Android versions. Xiaomi always releases them before 1 month of new upgrade launch. They can wait for 2 more months and launch the Note Series with latest HyperOS and Android versions. Their competitors provide latest OS with the launch of devices but Xiaomi leaves users with Old OS. These are fine for some users, but after upcoming updates their devices becoming more worse than ever. They should provide good updates with bug fixes but they do opposite always.
Overpriced for What They Offer
Redmi Note 14 Series was launched last year, and it equips budget friendly SoC, but company didn’t make the good pricing. It is overpriced for every feature and specifications. It makes the poor value proposition compared to alternatives like the other companies devices. Pricing of the Redmi Note Series is so much bad, they are doing same for years so Redmi Note Series are 99% dead.
Lack of Long-Term Support
Xiaomi has a history of abandoning older devices when it comes to software updates. Sometimes they release updates monthly and sometimes after 2-4 months. Example: Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G is the only device which is left for latest OS, all other models have already received it. After 1 year they always do something wrong with updates, and provide the more bugs.
Aggressive Marketing, Weak Execution
Xiaomi’s marketing often hypes up features that don’t do well in reality. For instance, while they advertise high-refresh-rate displays, IP68-69, Fast Charging and more features, the actual performance and battery optimization are always opposite. The company’s focus on specifications only, but performance is always opposite. And there is no use of marketing to these, they are completely useless. They should try another way, but didn’t do and its killing the Redmi Note Series.
