Xiaomi HyperOS 4 BETA Updates are already released for first batch devices and second batch will start receiving from August 27th. In HyperOS 3.1 they had launched the SOTA Series which have new updates in new versions to update the system applications to new version without reboot. Sometimes we need soft reboot only, but not everytimes. And this series will continue in HyperOS 4 Upgrade.
HyperOS 3.1 SOTA
SOTA was announced in HyperOS 3.1 Updates, and it includes C09, C10, C11… at the last of HyperOS 3.1 Version as you can see in the screenshots. It was started from C05 and now we have C11 which is latest in HyperOS 3.1 Updates. C11 can be last and there will be no C12 as Xiaomi has released the HyperOS 4 Upgrade.
For Example: In REDMI Turbo 5 Max we can see OS3.0.305.0.WPLCNXM.C11 where C11 shows it is SOTA Update, Super OTA which was received from same HyperOS 3.1 Version C10. Xiaomi China gives SOTA New updates in same version.
HyperOS 4 – SOTA
Xiaomi HyperOS 4 First Batch devices have received HyperOS 4 BETA Updates which includes new series. Now we have D00 at the last which came with HyperOS 4 BETA builds, and in stable it will be updated to D01 and more. All devices are eligible for this, and like previous upgrade we will see new updates in same version.
All devices are running on D00 for now, and Xiaomi will push new SOTA with stable versions only which will be released in September End to October early. New Builds are on the way with latest features and more.
